With any new start up business it is key to spend your time, money and effort wisely. Prepare your strategy within a sound business plan and stay focused. Tweaking things here and there is fine, but changing your whole strategy is a drastic measure if making that change is motivated by impatience. Not everyone will become a millionaire overnight and if that was the lure to get into this industry, I’m afraid you maybe mistaken.
It is all about numbers. The more people you can get visiting your site, the more chance you have of turning a prospect into a paying customer. Imagine a shop window in a local high street. In that window is a pedestal with, let’s say, a cabbage sitting on top of it.
The first person that walks by just stumbled upon your shop or was just being curious as he had heard that a new shop had opened. He is actually allergic to cabbages, so you will make no sale to him. The next person passing was looking for a cabbage, but wanted a red one and yours is green, so again you will make no sale. You get the picture… it can be some time before the perfect match is found. It’s similar with marketing on the internet. It is definitely a numbers game, and with keyword searches you can achieve some excellent targeted marketing. Imagine a thousand people walking past your shop and seeing your cabbage, all looking to buy one. The chance of one of those people buying your cabbage is greatly increased.
But it can take time, especially if your budget cannot stretch to pay per click campaigns or if you want to learn while you earn and cultivate your prospects through educational articles such as this one. Patience is definitely a virtue when it comes to an online business, and with online marketing you must be patient. If you see results, and by that I mean traffic to your site, you must stay focused and continue with what is working. By all means add perhaps one or possibly two other forms of lead generation, but don’t spread yourself too thinly or lose your focus as you will invariably struggle to achieve the numbers you need to succeed.
Remember to be patient. As the success of your on-line business is dependent upon this fact; the more traffic you generate the more
opportunities will come your way.
